The thesis

Four conditions we look for.

  1. I

    Specialized knowledge creates durable advantage

The best opportunities sit in domains where even understanding the problem requires specialized expertise. Diagnostics, clinical workflows, regulated AI, and therapeutics all qualify. These are the deals where deep sector knowledge creates durable advantage.

  2. II

Founder capability matches the problem complexity

Domain complexity punishes founders who do not know the space cold. We weight founder fit to the specific problem more heavily than founder credentials in general.

  3. III

Exit paths are mapped before entry

Healthcare and life sciences have well-defined acquirer landscapes. We map realistic acquirers and follow-on investors before we commit capital, not after.

  4. IV

    Unit economics survive regulation

Regulatory reality in this sector breaks business models that look elegant on a slide. We pressure-test economics against realistic reimbursement, approval timelines, and compliance cost before investing.

Methodology

The Signal Report.

Every deal we bring to our Investors includes a Signal Report written by a domain expert in the relevant sector. This is not a deal memo. It is a specialized review of the thesis, the science, the clinical model, or the technical claim.

Signal Reports answer the questions an Investor cannot answer for themselves, with the rigor of someone who has lived in the space for years.

"The questions an Investor cannot answer for themselves, answered with the rigor of someone who has lived in the space for years."

What a Signal Report contains

  • 01Technical or clinical validation of the core thesis
  • 02Competitive positioning against the realistic comparable set
  • 03Regulatory and approval risk assessment
  • 04Market timing analysis
  • 05Expert recommendation with explicit confidence level
